Founding CTO. Available two days a week.
I help investors judge technical teams before they invest, and founders build them afterwards. Two marketplace businesses taken from zero — one to 250,000 members.

What I do
- SVC.01
Fractional CTO
For funded startups that need senior technical leadership before they can justify a full-time hire. Strategy, architecture decisions, hiring, and the judgement calls that are expensive to get wrong. One or two days a week, three-month minimum.
From £4,000/month
- SVC.02
Technical due diligence
For investors deciding whether the technology and the team behind a deal hold up. Architecture, delivery capability, security posture, technical debt with a remediation cost attached, and an honest read on whether the AI claims are real. Written report and verbal readout in five to ten working days.
From £6,000 per deal
- SVC.03
Shared mobility
Platform strategy, build-versus-buy, telematics and keyless access procurement, and scheme delivery for car clubs, operators and local authorities. The sector I’ve spent my career in.

Selected work
- WORK.01
Hiyacar car-sharing platform, 0 → 250,000 members
Founding CTO. Built the platform, the engineering team, and the keyless access and telematics integration that made unattended handover work — without it, every booking needs the owner and the renter in the same place at the same time. Later interim CEO.
- WORK.02
Julie AI, built from zero
An AI parenting partner for UK families with children aged 0–3, guided by midwives, health visitors and doctors. Engineering focus on what it won’t say. With a newborn in the house, a confident wrong answer is the only failure that counts.
- WORK.03
Local authority EV car club
Technical delivery for a council-backed scheme, from procurement through to vehicles live. Specifying what the authority actually needed, evaluating suppliers against it, and making the platform, the vehicles and the charging behave as one service to a resident.
I’m currently engaged with businesses in shared mobility and HealthTech. I don’t take due diligence engagements in either.
If any of that is your problem, book a call.
