What this site collects, why, and how long it is kept.

Marcitect Solutions Limited (“I”, “me”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
What I collect
From the contact form. Your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message field. Nothing else — there are three fields and no hidden ones.
From your browser. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. My hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and request metadata in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse. That’s a technical necessity of serving a website, and I do not use it to build a profile of you.
From booking a call. Bookings are handled by TidyCal, which collects the details you give it and displays them to me. TidyCal’s own privacy notice applies to that.
Why I use it
To read your enquiry and reply to it, and to carry out any work you then engage me to do. Nothing is used for marketing, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted a business about its services — and, once we are working together, performance of a contract.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare — website hosting, and delivery of contact form notifications to my inbox.
- TidyCal — call bookings.
- My email provider — receiving and storing correspondence.
All process personal data on my instructions as processors.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to engagements are kept for six years after the engagement ends, which is the period required for tax and professional liability purposes.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to my processing it. Email me and I’ll respond within one month.
